The longest serving Chinese restaurant in Kent, The Peking Restaurant comprises three dining rooms, with a total capacity close to 100.
The Bamboo Room is the main dining room and is the largest of the three, accommodating social functions of up to 45 persons. It embraces the main bar of the restaurant where diners are able to relax surrounded by the assured efficient service which greets them.
The Chrysanthemum Room is on the North side of the building, facing the main street. Modestly sized to comfortably seat parties of 25 guests, it is perfectly suited for occasions from exuberant celebrations to a serene setting for more civilised engagements.
The Peony Room is the newest of the three rooms in the restaurant. Located on the third floor, with seating for up to 25, it provides the most intimate surroundings in which customers can enjoy their meal. This room is available to customers as a private dining room without disturbing other customers, in addition to the other rooms.
Diners can choose from a variety of regularly varying seasonal set dinners and dishes, apart from the extensive range on the full menu. Each set menu is purposely designed to offer a balance of tastes, textures and colours which distinguishes the subtle elegance of fine Oriental cuisine. Our guests are also encouraged to order any favourite authentic dishes they may have encountered in their travels to the Far East or, closer to home, in Chinatown. Alternatively, the chefs may suggest specialities or design menus for individual tastes, which they would be most delighted to prepare, given at most 24 hours notice.
Please enjoy your meal in our warm welcoming surroundings and we sincerely hope this memorable meal will entice you to bring your friends.
